Teenager Hospitalized After Shooting in Alum Rock
A 16-year-old boy has been admitted to the hospital with significant gunshot wounds after a shooting incident in Birmingham. The event took place on Bowyer Road in Alum Rock shortly before 5:30 PM BST, according to information released by West Midlands Police.
Police Investigation Underway
Authorities have indicated that the teenager's injuries are considered "potentially life-threatening." A police statement clarified, "Although this happened near a mosque, at this stage we do not believe the shooting to be connected to this place of worship."

"We understand this is extremely worrying for people in the area, and local officers will be remaining there to speak to anyone with concerns," the statement added.
