Actress Lisa Faulkner Provides Health Update

Actress and television presenter Lisa Faulkner has confirmed she is in recovery after undergoing surgery for breast cancer two weeks ago. The Celebrity Masterchef champion informed her Instagram followers that she had received her post-operative results, stating, "it's all good, they've got everything out, so it's all clear and I just need some radiotherapy in a few weeks."

Early Detection and Recovery

Faulkner, 54, disclosed that her diagnosis was made in "the very early stages of breast cancer," necessitating "quite a big op." She acknowledged that she still has "quite a bit of healing to do," but expressed feeling "good, I'm well. And feeling so much better."

Emphasizing the importance of preventative care, Faulkner urged her fans, "I'm so grateful that I went for my mammogram. Don't put them off, go, because they found this - without this mammogram, it wouldn't have been picked up." She also extended her gratitude to the National Health Service, stating, "I want to say thank you to our wonderful NHS and the fact that we can have these mammograms, and we can get treatment early."

Career and Personal Life

Known for her roles in popular series such as EastEnders, Holby City, and Spooks, Faulkner received an outpouring of support, including well wishes from former EastEnders co-star Tamzin Outhwaite. Beyond acting, Faulkner is also a published food writer and is married to chef John Torode. The couple previously co-hosted the ITV cooking program, John & Lisa's Weekend Kitchen.
